New in town is Elizabeth Solley (Curtis), an aspiring artist who has hitchhiked up from Santa Barbara. Among its denizens are Stevie Wayne (Barbeau), who runs her own radio station, and Kathy Williams (Leigh), who's in charge of the centennial celebrations. The small coastal northern California town of Antonio Bay is about to celebrate its 100th anniversary. The Fog is a 1980 American horror film directed by John Carpenter (his first big-screen feature following a certain other horror film, and like that one co-written with Debra Hill), starring Adrienne Barbeau, Jamie Lee Curtis (and her mother, Janet Leigh), Hal Holbrook, Nancy Loomis, Charles Cyphers, John Houseman and others.
